Pricing Guidelines

Before you can submit a product for CheckMate Certification, it must conform to the appropriate pricing structure. The price of the product must be at least the average price of comparable selling models.

As a rough guide, you can use the following link to learn the average price of models that use your keyword: Substitute any keyword in that link to find out the average price for that keyword.  For example, will give you the average selling price of a bed model.

On this page, you can also see Top Selling items for that keyword. If your model is comparable to these items, the prices of these items will also give you an idea of what customers are willing to pay for your model.

However, you should keep in mind that any one keyword can span several categories, and that different pricing is appropriate for different complexity levels. For example, the average price for a simple toy car is not the same as the average price for a detailed real car. For this reason, the average selling price shown at is not necessarily accurate for all cars.

To get the best idea of the average price for comparable models, search using your main keyword and look at models with content, complexity, and quality similar to your own. Finding 5-10 of these models will give you a working average that you can use to accurately price your model.
