The Product Preview is a product's main page, showing all the information about it. The Product Preview is what shows after you click a thumbnail in the Search page. For CheckMate Certified products, there are several pieces of information in a Product Preview that relate to CheckMate.
Certified File Formats
CheckMate certification is awarded to models by file format. Within any one product, it is possible for several file formats to be certified while others are not. File formats that have been certified are clearly marked under Product File Downloads at the upper right of the Product Preview.
The product's native file format is the first file format listed under Product File Downloads. The renderer used for each application-specific file format is displayed below the file format.
Additional file formats have not been certified, but are often of high quality regardless. It might be that an additional format is missing just one or two minor points of a specification, or it might just be an uncertifiable format.
Some file formats can be certified while others cannot. Only these file formats are eligible for CheckMate Certification:
3ds Max (.max)
Cinema 4D (.c4d)
LightWave (.lwo, .lws)
Maya (.ma, .mb)
Softimage (.hrc, .xsi)
Native formats from other 3D applications like Blender, Sketchup, Modo, and trueSpace are not eligible for certification. Exchange formats such as 3DS, OBJ, and FBX are not eligible for certification.
